The NRA is saying that they have received 100,000 new members since the killings at Sandy Hook, which is probably NOT good news for those who thought the people of this nation would be so scared they would be running to the government, not a gun show. That did not happen, and what we have seen over the past few weeks is that the people in this country are racing out to get the ammo and the guns they want because they have a feeling the government of their state or even the Federal government is going to limit what they can buy. This has been the objective of the Left for many years, dating back before the first assault weapons ban in the 1990's.
As we know, that ban did not stop the mass shootings like we are being told this new legislation will, although I do not but it for the same reasons no one bought that argument in the 1990's. If I were a betting man I would say the Republicans will fold and give the President what he wants through legislation, pitting the Republican party against the NRA and others in the gun lobby. When we get right down to it, however, this is about the right to keep and bear arms and the legislation proposed by Feinstein will be much worse than any gun control measure ever to come out of D.C. This should not surprise you but it should keep you on your toes.
The media is also telling us that gun control is a good thing. We know that under the proposed law that anyone owning these high-powered rifles would have to register them, and these weapons would not be allowed to be passed down to children or someone else in the family. From the legislation it does not say that they would be confiscated at death, but what else would your family be able to do with the weapons if they are not allowed to be registered again in someone elses name? They would have to be turned in, and this is the long-term plan that Washington has to disarm the people!
You think this is the end of it? More and more shootings will happen and we will be told all guns are bad, at some point. We will be told that we need to turn them all in and we do not need them, only the government needs the weapons. That has happened before in history and the American gun owner knows this! We will never fall into a trap where we are treated like the German people or even the Soviet people. There are many examples of this happening, and now it is happening here while the media insists that you will still keep the right to protect yourself. Maybe they will, but if three or four men come into my home and I only have a clip with 6 bullets in it and the Congress outlawed my larger clip, it will be their fault my family has been victimized, NOT MINE!
Tonight on the show I will be speaking with another BTR regular, Nony, about Sandy Hook and the chances that it was a set-up. A professor in Florida has brought up the same idea, and there are people calling for him to be fired for expressing his educated opinion about the events. Nony and I will be talking about the events and if a "false flag" could help lead this nation to tougher gun control or if it would be a waste of time?
One thing is for sure: there are those in our government that want to disarm the people. They do not trust us to protect ourselves and they are afraid of us. The 2nd Amendment says we have the right to keep and bear arms, but it never says what arms or what clips or what attachments we can have for those weapons. I am not saying let's have everyone buy surface-to-air-missiles for protection, but if someone would like a rifle that happens to have more power than a handgun then so be it! The 2nd Amendment may not be PERFECTLY worded, but it also does not say that our elected officials can terminate or refuse this right if someone is killed and the nation is angry!
